To apply Emla cream (prescription numbing cream) please wash your face first to remove all make up and oils. Pat dry the face. Apply the cream on the face in a thick layer like applying frosting on a cake. When doing the whole face, you will most likely need the whole tube. Now take some saran wrap and apply it to the face to cover the Emla cream. You can then cut holes for eyes, nose and mouth. If you feel uncomfortable to use saran wrap then just keep the cream on.
Remember to apply the cream one hour before your scheduled procedure.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN ONE TUBE OF EMLA CREAM AND DO NOT LEAVE IT ON FOR LONGER THAN TWO HOURS. IT CAN HAVE SERIOUS MEDICAL CONSEQUENCES.
